Soredex Classic DIGORA Optime Intraoral imaging
Superior image quality
Clinical image quality is a result of the whole DIGORA Optime concept. The DIGORA Optime System uses highly sensitive and intelligent Imaging Plate readout technology to achieve high quality images with an exceptionally wide dynamic range. The result is that even small details like 0.06mm root canal files are visible.
In digital imaging, a optimal signal-to-noise ratio is important to create images of the highest quality, too much noise results in a loss of diagnostic information. The DIGORA® Optime System is designed with a short light path from the imaging plate to the photomultiplier, which means that a low dose can be used while keeping the noise level low.
Efficient workflow
The DIGORA Optime imaging procedure has been designed to be as simple and easy as possible so that workflow in your dental office is more efficient. The DIGORA® Optime imaging procedure is fast;
-Imaging plates are as easy to position in the patient’s mouth as film
-the readout process is completely automatic
-readout time is very short
-no additional adapters nor equipment (such as an erasure box) are needed.
These advantages reduce the number of tasks you have to do, thus making everyday work more efficient and flexible. This ultimately gives you more time for your patients.
Compact size
The DIGORA Optime’s size means that you can place it in the most convenient position for your way of working. Positioning the unit where you want will improve your workflow and make daily work more efficient and comfortable.
Smart design
The DIGORA Optime is smart. It is operated with just two buttons, the on/off and the start button. Insert the exposed imaging plate into the DIGORA Optime and everything is done automatically.
The DIGORA Optime was designed right from the start to be easy to use and integrate efficiently into the dental office.
Quick readout time makes it possible to feed imaging plates continuously, for example, when a full mouth x-ray series is taken.
Full daylight use
DIGORA Optime is small and can be used in full daylight conditions. This makes it easy to place in the most convenient location in your practice.

The panoramic head holder and the entire cephalometric attachment have been redesigned, resulting in faster, easier and more exact patient positioning and handling.
The CRANEX TOME Ceph’s cassette detection is very simple, yet it enhances patient safety. The detection system ensures that the cassette is inserted and prevents double exposures of the same cassette.
As an optional feature, a Windows-based user interface is available, allowing you to set all relevant exposure settings via a PC and off ering you on-line help with detailed additional information about the imaging task being performed. The PC user interface is especially handy when the CRANEX® TOME / CEPH is used with the DIGORA® PCT Imaging Plate system. The same PC can control both the x-ray unit and the imaging plate system. All CRANEX® TOME / CEPH units can be upgraded with the PC user interface.
If you are looking for advanced dental imaging, the CRANEX® TOME is the answer. The system’s value can be enhanced by using a SOREDEX digital Imaging Plate system.
CRANEX® TOME uses the principle of autotomography with a spiral blurring movement. This movement, which is similar to the movement used by SOREDEX SCANORA, is achieved by tilting and rotating the C-arm at the same time.
Wide experience using the SOREDEX SCANORA in university clinics and large busy x-ray centres has shown that dental tomograms taken using this method are far superior to images taken using linear tomographic techniques. In fact, for many professionals multi-directional spiral tomography is the method of choice.
Benefits
The following example clearly illustrates the superiority of spiral tomography over linear tomography. A three-dimensional phantom is placed within the image layer of the CRANEX® TOME. The image clearly shows one sharply depicted post. Other posts outside the image layer are effectively blurred.
Panoramic Imaging
The first step in the examination of the patient's dental anatomy is to take a panoramic exposure. This panoramic exposure is a dental overview that serves as basis for further examinations that will be used to diagnose and treat the patient
CRANEX® TOME’s panoramic picture is based on the geometry used in SOREDEX SCANORA, which is world famous for the quality of its panoramic images. As well as taking standard and child panoramic exposures the CRANEX® TOME can also take high-magnification panoramic exposures.
Ghost shadows in ramus area are eliminated without causing major overlapping in the premolar region.
The magnification factor in the normal panoramic program is 1.3. In the magnified dental panoramic program it is 1.5. In the pediatric program the exposed area is limited, the magnification factor is 1.3.
Economical and functional
- without compromising image quality

-CRANEX® D Ceph features advanced cephalometric imaging movements that provide a true central projection image. This results in non-distorted constant magnification in both the vertical and horizontal planes. The image readout is accomplished using a narrow beam technique. Soft tissue filtration is adjusted automatically for the best possible diagnostic quality. With the use of the AES function, exposure values are selected automatically according to size of the patient’s head.
-CRANEX® D Ceph features a dual sensor design where the unit can be equipped with one or two sensors. If you take cephalometric images just occasionally the same sensor can be used for both panoramic and cephalometric purposes. For busy clinics, two sensors are preferred.
Cephalometric capabilities can be added at any time to CRANEX® D. This allows CRANEX® D to grow along with your practice.
The height of the digital cephalostat is controlled directly from the cephalostat. The 3-point head support can be rotated at 45º intervals and the nasion support can be adjusted vertically to support the head regardless of the patient size. The nasion support can be rotated out of the way during PA/AP projections.
Cephalometric field sizes
Full width: 22 x 26 cm (8.66” x 10.24”)
Reduced width: 22 x 18 cm (8.66” x 7.09”)
With the CRANEX D Ceph you can take both full and reduced size images. Cephalometric exposure takes from 8 to 20 seconds – .
Patient positioning
Good image quality can only be achieved if the patient is held accurately and firmly in position. CRANEX D® has a positioning system that gives you a good visibility to position the patient and supports the patient’s stability during the examination.
Stable, accurate positioning
Three positioning lights make it easy and accurate to position the patient in a correct way. The focal trough is positioned by moving the rotating unit – not the patient. This makes the positioning more comfortable for the patient and speeds up the positioning procedure. All motorized movements are handled from the unit’s control panel next to the patient.
The 4-point head support and a bite block help the patient to hold still during the examination and a swivel mirror allows you to verify the correct patient position.
Open design
The open design of CRANEX® D assures that the patient can access and leave the unit easily and comfortably. It gives you a clear visibility to position the patient and ensure the patient’s comfort and safety during the whole examination. The unique column is specially designed for wheel chair patients to access the unit and hold the correct position in a most comfortable way.
CRANEX® D features a Variable Panoramic Collimator (VPC) which is one of the keys to the outstanding panoramic image quality. By narrowing the width of the collimator while imaging the anterior teeth, the focal trough is expanded by 50% compared to conventional fixed collimation.

Soredex DIGORA Optime Intraoral imaging
SOREDEX is introducing new features to the succesful DIGORA Optime digital intraoral imaging plate system. The DIGORA Optime is easy to use, fast, provides excellent clinical results and now even provides a unique level of hygiene and Comfort Occlusal imaging.
-The Opticlean concept sets a new standard in hygiene in dental radiology. It includes a smart and automated internal ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system that inactivates harmful viruses and bacteria on the plate transport mechanism. This new and unique feature provides germicidal safety minimizing the risk of cross-contamination and protects the users of the system.
-In addition, the Opticlean hygiene concept provides effortless end-to-end hygienic workflow with touchless operation and enhanced Optibag hygiene bags. In the DIGORA Optime imaging plate system there is never a need to touch the re-usable imaging plate during the imaging procedure.
-The Opticlean hygiene concept is protected by various patents, patent applications and registered designs.
-The unique Comfort Occlusal provides a pleasant imaging procedure for the occlusal projection imaging, even with pediatric patients. The optimized size and shape of the Comfort Occlusal bite protector enables easy positioning and shields the imaging plates effectively from wear and damage.
-The latest DIGORA Optime digital imaging plate system, with the new version of the DIGORA for Windows software, includes also several additional improvements, like showing the patient name on the unit’s display and drag-and-drop support to and from the software.
V radiation is known to eliminate at least 99.9 % of viruses and bacteria, providing germicidal safety against:
-HIV
-Hepatitis A/B/C
-Corynebacterium diphteriae
-Mycobacterium tuberculosis
-Herpes
-and many more
Comfortable for the patient, 100% active area
DIGORA Optime imaging plates and hygiene bags are very comfortable for the patient. With the systems ability to read all intraoral size imaging plates (0, 1, 2, 3 and 4C) no diagnostic task is too hard. In contrast to intraoral sensors or imaging plate systems that require plate cassettes or similar adapters, the entire area of SOREDEX imaging plates is used for registering clinical information.
Optimized flexibility
DIGORA Optime imaging plates have a right degree of flexibility to enable easy and precise positioning with no discomfort to the patient, while being rigid enough to minimize distortion
Patented IDOT imaging plate identification system
Optionally available IDOT imaging plates have an individual marking visible on the image. The IDOT system supports quality assurance by making it possible to find the plate that was used to take an image.
Protective covers
Opticover protective covers protect the imaging plates from cross-contamination, mechanical damage and information loss caused by ambient light.
Hygiene bags
The latest generation Optibag hygiene bags have a double sealing system that offers the best hygienic protection possible. Loading and positioning is simple since one side of the bag is transparent and allows you visually inspect the imaging plate orientation. Sealing and opening is effortless. The hygiene bags are made of latex-free, food grade material.

The DIGORA Optime imaging procedure has been designed to be as simple and easy as possible so that workflow in your dental office is more efficient. The DIGORA® Optime imaging procedure is fast;
